I totally refuse to buy any kind of flat panel display device...
My daily watchers are all vintage sets:
1976 Philips K11 26" in the lounge
1975 Philips KM2 26" in my bedroom
1979 Philips KT3 16" in the kitchen, another one in my basement lab
1976 Philips K11 22" in the horse's barn
1985 Philips K40 21" stereo, hooked to my AV setup...
Nothing beats 70s to mid 80s Philips sets... they're built like tanks with top quality, durable Philips capacitors, they're extremely easy to repair, and i have yet to see an original Philips-made CRT going weak...
I once got a couple of scrapped late 70s railway station monitors fitted with Philips color CRTs, and apart from the severe screen burn, the guns themselves were still very strong...
