It's not a browser "problem," but rather that the industry is pushing hard to move all websites to https.
I'll try not to get too technical, but https is a secure, encrypted protocol that prevents eavesdropping on communications with a website. It's totally what you want for banking, online shopping, & other sensitive communications, but it probably doesn't really matter for an online forum that is open to anyone to see anyway.
For better or worse, the industry is driving toward making all websites use https no matter what. Some browsers are getting more over-zealous than others with warning users about "insecure" websites, based solely on the fact the site isn't using https.
Recent updates to all the browsers are adding these warnings.
