I couldn't come up with a method that didn't involve turning it upside-down and spilling oil everywhere.

The weather recently cooled down a bit, and it's hard to start in the morning when it's cold. The engine turns over easily enough, but it doesn't want to start, and then it idles a little rough for a few minutes, then it runs fine. - Opposite of my 83 Lincoln which runs great when you first start it, then starts missing and stalls after the engine warms up.
Highly recommend getting an oil filter relocation kit. My Thunderbird had one and it made the oil filter really easy to get to since it was moved in front of the engine pointing straight down.
