Where to post about a Grundig Majestic SO-160

I acquired a 1961 Grundig Majestic SO-160 radio/amp/phonograph.

Pictures.

We cleaned it up and plugged it in (I know, risky).

The record player does play.

I was able to play a record and very briefly tune into a radio station.

I have not since been able to tune anything in on FM.

Should I get an external antenna? What kind?

It seems to have short wave radio - is that still a thing I can use? It has all the countries listed on the front tuner.

It's missing one of the side speakers and the center speaker - will need to figure out how to replace those. There is no pad on the turntable, but it still works.

Which forum here should I post this to?

Thanks for the advice.

SW is still a thing. You may need an external antenna for SW.

These usually have a good internal FM antenna that plugs into the antenna holes on the back.

First, welcome to VK! The Antique Radio forum here may be a good place to start. And, VK's parent forum www.audiokarma.org has a lot of folks interested in consoles. Registration is free--just like here---and you could even use your same username and password. Remember...registration is required to post...just like here. Good lick!
