CHRS 5/14/22 Antique TV Event - Videos of presentations
CHRS Antique TV Event
———————————————— Date: Saturday, May 14 Time: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Place: CHRS “Radio Central”, 2152 Central Avenue, Alameda, CA 94501 After a few years of hiatus due to COVID restrictions, our CHRS antique TV event is back again! The day's schedule will include presentations, demos, display of working antique TVs, lunch, and plenty of time to hob-nob with fellow antique TV enthusiasts. The event is free of charge and open to both CHRS members and non-members. In past years we've had participants from Oregon and Nevada, as well as our locals from Northern California. If you're willing to travel to the Bay Area, you are welcome to attend. If you're not already on our email list and would like to be included, send me a PM for more details. Just a friendly reminder that our CHRS TV Event is now only 3 weeks away! If you would like to attend but have not informed me yet, please let me know. The event is free and open to anyone interested, whether CHRS members or not.
We have some nice presentations/demonstrations lined up on early TV cameras and a 32 line narrow band TV demo. It would be great to have more presentations, and they don't necessarily need to be technical. While technical topics are always welcome, we would welcome presentations on early TV companies, networks, shows, or any of the interesting personalities involved. Don't be bashful, we are a nice audience and we don't expect professional speakers or glitzy graphics. Let me know if you would like to make a presentation or demonstration. Likewise, let me know if you would like to bring a set to show. We will have a spot for it, and power and a video feed available if you want to show it working. You can also speak about your set if you would like to. Lunch will be provided for a $5 donation to CHRS. See you there! |

Any plans for presentations to be posted online?
Can't go, but I'm very interested in the camera talks + the NBTV. |

We currently don't have any plan to stream the presentations or to provide a general solution for distributing the presentation materials. However, I will forward to the authors of the two topics you've highlighted a link to this discussion, so they can provide you with something if they choose to.

Actually I'm now being told that the whole thing will be video recorded and posted. I'll try to find out more details about how to access it when it's ready.

Here are links to two video segments that cover the entire day's presentations from the CHRS TV event. Many thanks to David Billeci who did a great job on the video recording and editing!

Nice, we in Germany (Europe) are lightyears away to run a party like that!
