Picked up a dead RCA Plasma

Got a hold of a 1 1/2 year old RCA plasma 42", model 42PA30RQ, which was made by samsung. Was told it was working fine then all of a sudden went dead. Power light comes on, (Red in off position, Blue when powered up), remote works, (makes relays click, and power light turn blue), but no light on the screen and no sound. Power supply board remains cool. All Caps look OK. Ordered a power supply board, just hope it works. when I get it. Any other ideas guys.

Check the y-buffers. Very common to go bad/short. With the set opened up, look at the buffers with a magnifying glass and look for small burned looking pin holes on the chips.

Power supply board didn't fit the problem, so ordered the Y sustain board, put it in and it came to life. Perfect Picture. Only have about $140 invested in it. My son is going to get the tv to put into his apartment, replacing a 32" CRT TV.
