Well if you have one unscrew the top and start asking Google for datasheets for the chips in them....If there is no soldered shielding blocking your view of the line between the RF out and modulator chip, then it should be easy to find the modulator. As long as no soldering happens you won't hurt it opening it for a look....

I've never seen one, but would love to know what chip one of those uses too.
