The Tele-Rio stores in Rio de Janeiro offered color TV sets that operated on both "the Brazilian and Argentinian systems" . With the beggining of color TV in Argentina in 1978 lots of folks from that country crossed the border to buy color TVs in Brazil, where they were cheaper.
