1988 Magnavox Perfect View
I found it at a thrift store yesterday for 3 bucks. I haven't applied a signal yet (or even cleaned it up) but it seems to work fine and the CRT looks strong. It's not a remote set.

I remember these, as well as the Zenith and RCA versions. A lot of people bought them for their camper, etc.

We did a crap load of them. Built by an unknown to me
Asian MFG. 99% of them had shorted rectifiers. If this set got any where near a T-storm they would short. They were huge diodes too, about 8 times the norm in size. Other than that they ran good & of course came in other colors, tan being the most common. 73 Zeno |

I noticed the tan units are most common when checking eBay. This one will likely serve as a test monitor/shelf warmer, and perhaps I'll put a big green bow on top and use it as part of a Christmas display.
A kid noticed it when I was bringing it home, exclaiming "Hey, a little TV!" I was surprised he recognized it as one. |
