Acquired a 1930 Radiola 80 today...

And it is NOT a "junker set". ALL knobs appear to be there...All tubes...INCLUDING a BALLOON 245, and a globe 45, and globe 80. Cabinet is in decent condition. This is the one with the big, separate amp chassis on the bottom of the cabinet..wiht a pair of 45 tubes and a LOT of iron it seems.

This was a Goodwill-on line purchase.. Pictures coming--it is in the van for now. My original idea was to get it for the amp chassis and tubes...BUT...it is in too good of condition to just strip it....

Nice score. I've got one too awaiting restoration. Good performers being superhets rather than TRF.

I assume you mean the same thing by 'balloon' and 'globe' tube ?

Here's mine.
