20s radio

Saw a console Radio from 20s, 30s, sitting in local shop.
Went in to look, found gutted out cabinet that was in good
shape.
Radio looked somewhat like, Radio Manufacturers Of The 1920's-,
front cover, but this had sliding doors that when closed cant tell
radio gutted.
Any idea on what it was?
Or did too many have sliding doors?

Could be a lot of things, really, most radio manufacturers of the era used cabinets crafted by third party shops. When you open the doors is there any indication of how the face of the radio may have been layed out, maybe holes for a dial and knobs or anything, or is it just an empty box?

Really nice cabinet, tho, I'm sure even if you can't figure out what it is, you could prolly fit another radio in it, or maybe even convert it into an awesome audio rack...

I've seen a few Atwater-Kents that look quite similar. But it could be virtually anything.-Sandy G.

Boy, that is really empty. Shelves gone and all.

It looks like a high end cabinet, maybe a Silver Marshall, Scott, something like that. Or it could be an AK as was mentioned. Very nice veneers.

You could look on the Radio Attic's archives, there are 5000 radios there. :-)
