If you want it, i have scanned the service data for the RCA CKC-021 Beam-Index VF sub-assembly - includes schematics and alignment data.

Just holler if you & others want it - give Mail address please, too big to post direct on VK.

Hi, new member here, I would like to join the Mini-Beam Index Club. Recently picked up an RCA CKC021 viewfinder from ebay. very impressed with it, amazing piece of tech. although mine seems to have a small tinge of red when displaying images with lots of blue.

Hi to all,

This week (Oct 11th 2021) a Sony XKV-55 Indextron "car TV" sold on E-Bay.
It was located in Australia.
TV was +/- recapped, produced a distorted white raster, no video.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/22462919817...2Cchnl%3Dmkcid

Hoping that someone from this forum acquired it, will fix it and post Indextron photos sometime in the future.

3x photos from the E-Bay auction.

Best Regards

Hi to all,
Hi HelloVoltage,

Well Thanks! for informing the forum & Congratulations! on acquiring a rare Indextron family item.
What's the condition ?
Planning on getting it to work?

I've never seen a XAV-55N, does it look like the XKV-55 standalone TV or is it a display unit designed to be used with a car system (diversity TV receiver, FM radio, CD player & multi-channel audio amp)? (see photo)

Schematics are going to be hard to find, never seen a service manual this side of Japan.

Best Regards

Condition externally is very good. Actually , since it was pulled from a mid 90s nissan, I would consider it excellent. No reaction wear in the buttons.

Internals are yet to be determined. I am currently repairing a kv-4sv1 that was at the point of transistors being corroded off.The xav is next in line. I have a few of the indextrons

the xav-55n Is designed to be used with the diversity unit, which I don't have. I figured it is not necessary for my use. Can purchase one later if needed.

Schematics are helpful but I expect the xav to function fine when powered. Schematics for the watch cubes are not as helpful as they likely once were. The corrosion removes logical troublesooting. Just slowly clean and replace. The plastic structural supports always snap...

Hi to all,
Hi HelloVoltage,

Thanks! for the HD photo of your XKV-55N.
Hope you will get it working in 2022.

With luck, this model avoided the horrid leaky purple Cap issue which plagued the Cube Indextrons & corroded fine PCB tracks. Different model, different time.
Never seen a Service Manual, but probably some common highly specialized ICs which Sony developped for Indextron signal processing.

Best Regards & Best Wishes for the New Year,
jhalphen
