Tom, thank you for your detailed reply, all good points. I started a new post for details on my TV project: http://videokarma.org/showthread.php?t=273382. As to the AVerTV Hybrid TVBox 13 - A200P I thought if it looks like a good device I would keep and eye on eBay for a deal. It does claim to have a 3.5 mm audio & composite combo output.
