beefier, cost a bit more, but you need 2 or 3!
Yup. 500nS is 2MHz, 1.5uS is 667KHz so both should probably work fine at 17.5KHz horizontal.

The recovery time has to be compared to the retrace pulse width, which is on the order of 10 microseconds. 1.5 microsecond recovery time is dangerously long. For anything in the horizontal/high voltage section, shorter is better.

Well things do change. For the 2 years Studebaker built the Avanti
it was the fastest production car in the world ( with factory Paxton supercharger ). Now tech has left that behind but I would rather have the
real & simple thing.

Sorry to stray OT but this brought back memories of my later teen years. I worked right out of high school at E.J. Korvette. They were one store that had the special TV Room with doors and low lighting with the color sets, talking ~ 1964-1967. Next to the TV room was the Audio Room. I eventually weaseled my way into that department, selling all brands of audio equipment. We also had a door and it was locked when we were not there. Best job I ever had!!!

While in high school 1960-64, I would go downtown Milwaukee and watch all the different brands of color set on the 6th floor of the Boston Store and Gimbels at Southgate mall. I didn’t understand what the best color should be then and they all had different color temperatures. Intrigued by Magnavox and it’s “blue cinema cast” but settled with a RCA CT19 in 1966. I saw color set in the 50’s and they were dark and not adjusted properly with usually green casts.

Love your tag line ….
