It all depends what you want to do with them and your expectations. There are groups of collectors out there who make all sorts of software & hardware for "vintage" computers to do modern/unexpected things, such as Ethernet cards for Apple II or hooking up an old teletype to a Linux box and having it print a Twitter feed.

Sure, old machines aren't practical for modern everyday computing needs, but they still are pretty capable, especially for secondary uses or to hobbyists/collectors.
