Whole BUTTLOAD of 6dq5's!!
There is an ebay auction right now, for 95(yes 95!!) NIB Sylvania 6dq5 tubes. these were used in a good number of our old color roundies(and a few rectangulars, too). I realize that NONE of us would ever need that many, but if a group of you could get together, and split them.. perhaps that may be worth looking into. I have perhaps 6 of the 6dq5's myself, and will not need these, and the money is tight right now, or I would get them!!( I may still try)

Shame they aren't 6BQ5/EL-84's ...the small pentode amp guys would snatch 'em up in a second! (Not to mention the Vox AC-30's they could feed.)

Actually I have found 6DQ5 may actuallly be kind of rare...
I think the early RCA sets use 6CB5 as the octal H.O. tube 6JE6 seems to be the most common. |
