Maggies were usually in better cabinets with more real wood than most.
On the sales floor the wife wanted a Maggy, hubby wanted RCA or Zenith. The TV electronics were so-so IMHO. The stereos could be quite good. They also sold a few Jap relabels & a real dog 19" hybrid. They also jumped to SS sets without the usual evolution. After that they were a much better set. A few early "firsts" were built in Odessy game, Star system & comb filters. When NAP took over Sylvania & Philco got ditched. Maggy chassii took over. There best effort was the C1 & C2 chassii in the early 80's. As good as any, a pleasure to watch & work on. 73 Zeno LFOD ! |
