Nordmende Globetraveler
Hi Guys,
Does anybody have a schematic of the popular Globetraveler or Globemaster? (See borrowed picture) I just picked one up to restore. I'm currently listening to NPR on it (WNED Buffalo AM970) and it sounds pretty good. Works well on FM also, but shortwave is just noise and FM breakthrough. I suspect a switching problem. This one has cracked dial "glass" like many of them that I see. I think I'll try lens cement on it. It should flow into the crack because it is very liquid, it also dries very transparent with UV curing. Thanks in advance, David |

Yes, just like the one in the picture: Longwave, medium wave, 11 shortwave bandspread sections and FM.
Nice set. David |

Yeah, lots of florescent buzz. There isn't anything broadcast on LW in the US as far as I know, other than some beacons. I've never picked up anything.
When I lived in the UK the radio was always tuned to BBC on 198kHz. That was worthwhile radio. David |
