horizontal loops.

G'day all, one loop antenna I've not tried is the 'horizontal loop'. Has anybody tried this?

All the books say good only for short range or NVIS applications.

I'm thinking about horizontally mounting my monoband one wavelength 20 m Delta Loop at about 30 ft maximum height and sloping. Would it work? Any comments or thoughts? Regards, Felix (vk4fuq) aka catman.
