Cool 1980 Hitachi CT-1302 13" color TV

Here's a 1980 Hitachi model CT-1302 13" color TV.
Made in Singapore.
Found it for free.
Seems like it needs some adjustments or tuner cleaning.
Not the greatest of quality.
The plastic white tool is for the V.Hold adjustment.

Ah, Hitachi TV's from the 1980's;

My parents wanted a similar small TV for the kitchen around 1982 . I remember during this time range Hitachi was the only manufacturer to guarantee all semiconductor components for 10 years and hence why I recommended it/buying it to them. Well the thing died in like 2005 and with me in New Hampshire, them in S.E. PA dad just got a new TV for like $150. Looking back, yes I could have probably fixed it.

Still to this day, Hitachi is a highly respected company overall; especially in their SAN/disk storage market sector.

Trash picked same screen size 1983 Hitachi about ten years ago. As I recall it just had a cut power cord. Replaced it, and has nice sharp picture. My in-laws are using it for a bedroom TV.

I have an '82 Hitachi 19 inch color TV with a good picture. Not very collectible however.
My favorite piece by them is the early-80s HA-6 integrated amplifier.. it is also known as Lo-D HA-505..freon-cooled output stage and a high precision MC/MM phono stage. They used to make some innovative high quality products.

Your set has the NP80SX chassis, not the best, but certainly not bottom of the line. Hitachi archived all of their CRT set service manuals at the Hitatchi Service site. I have a TIFF (13pages in one file) of your service manual.

STR381 Regulator
HA1124D Sound IF
HA11215A Picture IF
HA11434 Chroma/Video Jungle
HA11423 Vert/Horiz Jungle
2SD898 HOT
2SD401 x2 Vert Output

Cheers,
