Input jacks on Chrysler/Dodge stereo sytesm

I have read a lot about these systems and was wondering about the input jacks. A lot of Chrysler and Dodge vehicles in the mid-late 2000s era had a separate CD and DVD changer mounted below the radio with A/V input jacks.

To use them you were supposed to select the CD/Aux button on the radio until it went to the CD changer input and then if you had something plugged in, it would switch over to that.

You could connect say a video game system and play it on the DVD screen or an MP3 player and have it play over the speakers. The issue is that with an MP3 player or other audio-only device, the device has to be turned WAY up in order for the system to detect it, so quite often, during quieter parts of music, or say a classical song that starts quietly, the system will switch back to the CD or DVDs in the changer instead. The best way to prevent this is to remove the CDs from the changer or select an empty one when using the jacks.

Was wondering if anyone had any experience with these systems and had a workaround.

Perhaps adding a small amount of DC bias will hold it on.
