Question Opinion on Heathkit Gr21 pair

Gents,
I need an opinion. I love early tube stereo radios with real MPX decoders. However, I find that few really still work well.
I saw a Heathkit pair (Gr21 radio, Gr21a MPX decoder/ second channel) and I was wondering if anyone has experience with this radio before I think about buying it.
I know that Heathkit kits were usually fairly well designed and made for easy assembly. Couple that with the fact that the manuals/schematics are easy to get (including the very valuable alignment info) and I figured that this combo might be a good one to get some skills on aligning and repairing tube stereo. I have plenty of experience recapping and repairing tube Tv's and radios, just not much on aligment and stereo decoder repair.
Can any one share any thoughts on this particular combo? Your opinion is valuable to me and will affect my decision.
Thank you very much!
Rob

I don't have any experience with this radio. However, I DO have schematics for the radio and MPX adapter if you do end up buying it...

Tom,
The auction went for a price I couldn't refuse ($35). The radio is supposed to be delivered tomorrow and I will try and post pictures. If you had a copy of the schematics I would be eternally grateful!

The MPX decoder is built into the second channel box along with the amplifier, it takes an audio feed and MPX feed from the main radio.
When I get to these sets I'll post some pictures, they are going to be a winter project.
