Couple of overpriced RCAs

Found these two RCA TV and Radios for sale on Craigslist. Not sure what happened to the cabinets on them. Kind of high priced.

For. $3,500 you can have this.

Both of them knock off a zero and optimistically it may eventually sell, knock two zeros off and it will be about the going rate for those combos. Leave the zeros on and all interested buyers will walk away and or laugh.

A good deal... in about 50 years, assuming the dollar continues to depreciate.

I'd only be interested in them if two zeros were knocked off both of them.

I've seen this before on CL and on eBay. I think the seller is just trying to make as much money as possible on the sale; he or she probably has no idea of the actual worth of these consoles. As old as they are, I wouldn't pay more than $250-$300 for one. Unless the seller lowers his/her asking price drastically, he or she may be stuck with both of them. In today's economy, few people can afford to spend thousands of dollars on something that may or may not work.

Everyone should reply to the ads asking if they are crazy asking that much for destroyed sets. Could be fun!

If the CRTs are good (really high end of green good) I'd offer $100 each and they could keep the wrecked cabinets.

That second set has been on CL for a **long** time. I think it got listed about the same time as the pot dispensary first opened up.....

Well then.
I still have the radio chassis from that model. The cabinet on that model was really nice, but no one wanted it, so it was parted out.

Looks like somebody went over it with one of those "antique-ing" finish kits. Yuck
