The 2018 ETF Live Auction

The list of items for the 2018 ETF live auction is started.

There were only two items in it when I checked.

This is the correct forum.

Take a look, drool, check your bank account.

I've got some really nice goodies that are going to go in the auction this year, once I take proper pics

"Good CRT" in the Westinghouse, yet no photos of the jug lit up, or even tester results... interesting. I'm not implying that Steve would lie about the condition of the CRT. He seems like a straight shooter. I'm just thinking it would be easier to drum up interest in the auction if there was proof of the CRT's viability well in advance of the convention. Seeing light on the screen might be the difference between someone sitting the convention out and someone registering and joining us.

As rare as that set is along with the fact they say the crt is good, why would a tv museum let a set like that go?

A restored, working Westy at that. The museum had two at one time, the second one was sold or given to another museum after restoration.

They also have a prototype Westy with a slightly different HV section and different chroma demod circuit. As near I can tell, that set is still somewhere in the warehouse section unrestored. A third Westy (If you include the proto) would be superfluous.

The ETF is a non-profit Corporation. They have a fund raiser to repave the parking lot. They have raised $5745.00 so far. They need $22,000.
