Wanted : Chromacolor 25CC55 Flat chassis parts
Howdy fellow Vkers,
I am looking for those parts to get my flattie going (thread here : http://videokarma.org/showthread.php?t=263380 ) So parts I am looking for : - 150-170 IF Module - Right side speaker. its a round 4.5 inch speaker, zenith numbers 49D1194 Ohm meter tells me its a 6.5 ohms, but I find it suspect, might be 8 ohms. - Knobs for the volume/tint and color. Should look like the one in the picture. tint and color are the same , but volume as a notch in it (see second picture) Thats all for now! Thanks folks! Edit: Bump (22-02-2017) Speaker has been found, still looking for the IF module and the knobs. Last edited by Dreamsbeard; 02-22-2017 at 08:12 PM. |

If I recall, I may have a spare 8 ohm speaker that came with a 4 ohm I needed from a past project. If it turns out you do need an 8 ohm, and mine is the right shape, it's yours for shipping.

SPKR probably 8 ohm but could be 4. Can use either one
& probably not no the diff. Remember spkrs are measured impedance NOT pure DC ohms so it measures that way. 73 Zeno ![]() LFOD ! |

Allright then, I'll go with 8ohm, seems safer than 4 anyway. Heres a picture of it. Its 4 inches after all. I know finding a direct replacement might be hard, but if I can get close enough , I migh just need to drill new holes in the frame to acomodate the existing mounting plastic thigny.

Looks like my speaker should work. I'll get to checking it within a day or so. Workshop is a disaster since I've been at school for a semester.
I may also have some spare of those metal clips from a tape recorder I parted out. They look familiar. If I recall correctly, they tend to bend or break when removed (takes some serious effort to remove them in my experience) but I think I had a few spares. Again, I'll check and let you know. PM me if you'd like them and I'll pack them up and ship them out. All I'll need is shipping paid for.

Electronic M,
Here's a picture of my IF module. As you can see the holes on the top don't quite match yours, and I have no idea if it would fit my set. What do you think? Thanks! |

Sorry about getting back to you slowly, I've been working a lot of overtime.
The number on mine looks to be 150-182F. Below it has 182001. The ink is not very readable by any definition of the word. My hunch is that all Zenith IF modules of this size interchange, but I have no documentation to prove that. If you want to gamble shipping cost my offer stands.

An 8ohm speaker will read approx. 6.5 ohms DC resistance. I'm sure the 8 will be fine.
Also, I have a stash of Zenith modules from my Dad's old repair shop. Haven't had time to catalog them. Will get to it after New Year's. Thanks! Frank |

Ok, heres what Keepm sent me about the IF Module :
25CC55 originally had a 150-166, and the -170 is a sub. Zenith CRSP (Cross Reference Sales Program) guide says only the 150-170 will replace the -166. A 150-180 will replace the -170, but not in your chassis, only the 25CC25, and 19DC12, 18, 20, and 21 150-182 replaces a 150-108, 110, 160 and itself. You are looking for a 150-166 or 150-170. So it looks like I am seaching for a 170 OR 166. But I find it odd that the 150-180 could replace a 170...but not in my chassis. Is there someone that could explain the logic behind that? My logic tells me it should, but hey what do I know... BTW Electronic M, no worries in getting back to me late, my holidays have been pretty busy to! ![]() |

Ok, sorry for the delay. Here's the speaker I have. Paperclip for scale, but I can probably get some more specific measurements if you think you need them. It's 8 ohm, 2 watt. Cone is in great shape. There's a little metal washer held on by some red paint over one of the holes, but I poked on it and it'll come off pretty easily if need be. I'd leave that on in case you needed that for some reason.
I can PM you shipping info and get it out in a few days if you'd like it.
