What was the porpouse of that circle with numbers that in this picture is above the "Grundig" brand sign: http://www.tube-radio.de/radios/grundig4055_1.jpg

Could you post a detailed view of the circle? The numbers are not readable.
My guess would be that it is somehow related to field strength as shown by the eye tube on the right side, but a better view would help. Bye for now. |

Some of these German radios have the AM antenna on a swivel piece internally. One of the knobs in the front turns the antenna, and an indicator will show at what position it is at.

I believe that is correct. I have the same dial on a console and it is for the ferite antenna.
