I like the photos you put on that RCA Super color TV on holidays.
BTW, I had relatives years ago (now long since deceased) who owned an RCA Super TV similar to yours. Theirs was, IIRC, b&w. Did RCA ever make a b&w "Super" TV, or were all "Super" sets color? If the latter, I don't think my relatives were aware the set was color, as every time I would see them and the set was on, it was showing a b&w picture. The TV made an excellent picture using only rabbit ears and received quite a bit of signal from the three Cleveland TV stations at the time (the set was VHF only and their town was only about five miles, give or take, from the transmitters), so I wasn't the least bit surprised the picture was as good as it was.

They also made a "Special" model, that was the first transformerless chassis, built in the mid-50's. It had a "Range" control as part of the operating controls. They worked OK in a good signal area. |
