Ctc7

Regarding a CTC7 series, Has anyone ever seen a "Brandywine" with the Orthophonic HiFi speaker system? I would guess this would be one of the scarcest if not the rarest CTC7's. I have been around these early sets for over 50 years and I have never seen one before. Perhaps they were regionally sold for wealthier markets.

Did I forget to mention that I will have one in my collection and it's the only one I have ever seen.

Orthophonic HiFi speaker system?

Wow! I wonder if its chassis uses something other than a 6AQ5 for the audio power amp?

Pete, it was push pull 6V6GT on a seperate chassis. In terms of rarity, isn’t the full function remote 7 the top of the stack?

That's the one I got. I had never seen one before and thought I'd try to get it and I did. I got it for about 35% less on the offer button. I really liked the emblem that says "NEW" orthophonic high fidelity. I'm sure this set is scarce because the HiFi speaker system made it cost about $200 or more and that was a whopper accessory in 1958 making it retail in the $1200+ bracket. It's still a beautiful TV! I can't wait to shop it out and hope the CRT has good emission. It looks all original and probably was owned all its' life by the same caring family. These old TV's normally come in only two conditions--very nice from the living room or very rough from the damp basement/garage.

At one time I had the 7 button remote set and gave it away about 40 years ago working to a friend. I would like to have it back!
