NOS delta gun mystery CRT

Hey everyone. So I was snooping around in ewaste today and came across this tube lying out in the open. It would appear to be some type of 19” delta gun tube. It still has the cover on the tube pins. It’s definitely spent a great deal of time outside as evident by the rust and dirt.

I put it on the tester and it tests great, like a new tube. However it’s not without problems. For starters I have no idea what tube it actually is since the label is gone, it looks too squared off to be a 60s tube so I’m guessing it would go in an early 70s hybrid? If anyone knows what kinda of sets this would belong in that would be appreciated thanks.

Also the aqua dag is missing on the outside, would conductive paint work as a replacement?

And finally there’s some scuff marks on the face that make the front look kinda cloudy, is there any reccomended affordable polishing methods to remove light scratches such as these? The deeper scratched I’m not too worried about.

Thank you for reading all help is appreciated!

All joking aside, it's extremely unusual for a “GOOD” CRT to be tossed out like that, so it's suspect that it may be a dud or faulty, and as old_tv_nut pointed out, the gouges on the face are a risk factor, accepting that risk, obviously the first thing to do is slap a test jig and see if you can get a good display out of it.

Correct, but it doesn't speak for the state of the phosphors and /or the shadow mask.
There has to be a reason it was dumped, it COULD be because of the face scratches, or, there is some other flaw, and it was scratched later after it was dumped, only way to know is to try it, but would not invest in it till you know.

Given that you will most likely never know the exact type of tube it is...
The specs for any given one of these 19V##22 types should get you in the general ballpark to test it, IF indeed it is a 19 inch diag tube.

they are rather close in voltages, and the differences don't matter TOO much for testing.
