Well I had contacted the gentleman I was working on this unit for and told him what you guys told me on here about the transformer possibly being fried because of that power supply capacitor melting down like it did and he said that he was just going to use it for parts because if it was a case of the power transformer being cooked he didn't want to have to sink the $400-$500 it would take to replace the transformer into the record player. So the record player is actually back in the owners hands right now and he's got an old Motorola Suitcase record player for me to work on for him next.
