CTC 12 chassis on CL (not mine) So Calif.

I saw this ad on Craigslist.... FREE! Says he has CTC-12 out of a combo, and also has the turntable & radio. Lancaster is about 70 miles north of Los Angeles. If I had time I'd go get this for parts, but I don't.... Hopefully someone can save it!

would be worth it if the fly were good. The 12s I hear are notorious for eating flybacks. Thankfully mine is still alive....for now.

Speaking of flybacks for the CTC-12, did Thordarson, Merit or Triad ever make a replacement for the 112820 flyback? When I worked for the RCA distributor here in the 80s, we had Thordarson Flybacks for the CTC-15 chassis and up, but now wonder if there was a replacement flyback for the 12 and earlier sets.

Cheers,

I've seen them for CTC-5s, so I can't imagine not for a 12...

For sure, there was a flyback replacement for the CTC-12, bought mine from Moyers and the same one goes in the PB chassis. If need be I can check the cross reference

I think it's a FLY-273, but better double check. I actually found a NOS RCA just last week. I was going to sell it but then, I have a -12...good insurance to hold onto it.

My Thordarson catalog does list FLY 273 for 112820. Good luck.
