Large collection

Here’s a guy in Brazil who has a collection
of 900 sets both B/W and color. All I can say
is “he has more room than me”.

Amazing. I crave that red and white set shown near the beginning.

It's reassuring to see that the Three Stooges are still spreading American culture in Brazil :-)

Very good old friend of mine. I began collecting vintage TVs inspired by him. I know him since when his collection had "only" 300 sets... that was in 1998. Today... it is 900.

I wish I live in the same part of the country in which he lives. He lives at the heart of where Brazilian television began, in 1950. That is in the Southeast of the country. I live in the South, and TV here only began in 1959... so it is very difficult to find vintage sets here, even those from the 60's. The older sets I have were bought in his city... and the shipping is expensive and VERY problematic ( lots of care must be taken to protect those large, heavy and fragile sets from the perils of the transport... ironically, the only set that ever arrived with a broken CRT was a small 8-inch 1956 RCA Victor portable, and thanks to Eric H I now have a replacement CRT for this set ).
