Let's see, that crosses to a Thordarson FLY-408. Looks like chassis 12A13C52, 25BT22, 25CC50. A little tricky to look it up in reverse like that for the chassis numbers (and there were some production changes along the way) but maybe that will get you started.

would you know if this fly came from a round screen tv or if it could be modified in some way to use in a ctc15 chassis?

NO. thats for a early 70s Zenith 25xxx22 true 25 inch hybird set. Zenith and RCA designed there parts to be almost compete opposites.
We have successfully subbed flys between rca style chassis and clones. I would call it real advanced delicate work. Best to keep your eye out for a FLY277 and have a big open wallet when one shows up. Last edited by ctc17; 07-28-2011 at 04:38 PM. |

FLY273 is for CTC12
Maybe if you get some Ortho fly paper from Home Depot and wrap you current flyback it will clear the shorts out. |

why do you think its a 15?
If it uses a 6DQ5 its a 12. |

looks like your right the 15 uses 6je6 and the base is different then the 6dqb, the pins wow it is a 12, unless i am reading the sams wrong, 528.61115 is on the chassis and others on the sams with 611110,11,14,15,40,41,44,45, and 528.61280 i thought the 15 in the chassis number said it was a ctc15, maybe not so then where does it say ctc12 because it is not stamped in the chassis.

Is this a Sears Silvertone?

This Sears set was not made by RCA, it was made by Warwick. In some cases companies bought complete chassis from RCA but my guess is this was built in the Warwick factory to RCA specs, maybe with some differences? I doubt it says anywhere on it the RCA chassis that it is designed after, unless RCA built it. The '15' in your model number is likely just a production change number.

LOLOLOLOL That why he thought it was a ctc15!?!?!?
I have a 528.525 and it is a RCA sourced chassis for sure. The EIA numbers give it away. Everyone here though it was a CTC11 Well that would explain allot. Your sams should be 655-2, what sams do you have? |

that is what i have number 655-2 and it also has the model number of the set i have. and yes sears silvertone.how do you tell by the numbers that its a ctc12 or anything else, because the 11 uses the 6dq5 also.
