Greetings from South Florida
I am a recent collector of old computers and have jumped into the crt rabbit hole lately, although I do not own a CRT older than say the 80s, all my televisions are solid state. I am hoping to expand my collection with something older and continue learning soldering, electronics, and in general vintage tech.
Thank you, hoping to learn and contribute on this forum. |

Welcome.
Most makes stopped making their tube/solid state hybrid chassis in favor of solid state by 1975....the odd duck was the GE portacolor which was all tube (not counting some SS diodes) and was made from 1965 to around 1980 with only one chassis redesign and a CRT upgrade in that time. Years ago when I lived in Fl it seemed like aside from 21" 50's monochrome and 80's and newer SS that there were no vintage sets left.... good luck finding what you want.
