Yeah the 4x4 GMT400 and all GMT800 trucks use torsion bars up front, Toyota had been using that on trucks since the 70s. I think it has more to do with Chrysler's quality in the 70s. There was a reason they almost went bankrupt in the early 80s. Also lots of Chrysler cars and trucks didn't get hydraulic lifters until the 80s.

Two F-150s
These two trucks have been sitting in this guy's front yard for the past 15 years. Its unknown if they run but they are properly licensed (and insured?) according to the municipality.
I think he's sitting on them for the value to appreciate. He should probably put a car cover over them to keep the rust down.
