Greetings from the Pittsburgh area
Hello everyone... Some of you may recognize my name from the antique-radio forum. I'm a long-experienced tech, with over 40 years in the field and on the bench, servicing everything from jukeboxes and color TV through sound systems, with a stint as a broadcast engineer thrown in. I started collecting antique radios as a young teenager in the 1960s, and did add a few early TV sets to the collection. I worked for a Zenith dealer in 1979-82, so I'm familiar with most of their color sets, from the 29JC20 on through the infamous System 3. I'm also a ham and "boatanchor" collector, and I'm trying to get the station back on the air after a 20-year hiatus. I had a 23-year career as a field engineer in the theatre projection and sound industry, until I was forced into a layoff by a knee injury in 2010. I'm now in a "retirement job" with a company which makes high-tech instrumentation equipment, which hopefully will carry me on until I can actually retire!

I'm a fellow Pittsburgher too, although I live in Ohio, just north of Wheeling.

Glad to have you here. I worked at a Zenith Dealer in those years. They also had sold Admiral.
We called it "system 3x" the ratio of replacement to repair cost of a 9-160 module.
