The West-Germans used a lot of stupid tubes on theyr radios... That's why you shouldda be carefoull when you buy one: you may find it in good condition, but you may not find replacement tubes

The most comprehensive site for FM-only radios is the site belonging to Andrew Mitz:

http://www.somerset.net/arm/fm_only.html

Another good one with a number of pictures and restoration stories is

http://www.sparkbench.com/

He has a homebrew section linked on his first page that shows restored 1920's stuff such as an Ultradyne (and he shows the same schematic as mine).

And for all of us who collect Philco:

For anyone interested in seeing and learning a bit about vintage pocket radios (and a few tube radios thrown in for good measure) please visit my Flickr photo site.

Check out this site for "Lots of parts/etc." Also has Howard Sams available- originals and an easy site to navigate around on. Mostly radio related but other neat stuff too. He's an excellant source that I've used on occasion. Prompt service, replys and fair pricing!

Rider service info Volumes 1-23 with index.
Some of the pages I looked at in Volume 2 were of poor copies--barely legible, but others may be better.

www.ricksantiqueradios.com is my site which is service oriented. It also pictures many sets from my personal collection and a short bio of how I became interested in the hobby.
