Thumbs up [Salvaged] 1985-86 Zenith VR 2000 VCR

Story of the day.

I usually goto one of my local recycle electronics drop off locations on the weekend, recently there hasn't been much worth taking. I can't say i'm really a fan of any of the plastic stuff either which is usually in the mass amounts these days. I figure it's got to be the yard sales that is reducing what i am finding right now, I guess people figure they can make a couple of bucks if they try to sell it before chucking it out for good. Don't get me wrong Thrift stores are an excellent source but it all depends on what your after and if it's worth spending the money to only find out it may require more work than you think. I got lucky this weekend though I scored what I believe is either a 1985 or 1986 Zenith Model VR 2000 VCR 4 Head Mono. Didn't have to do to much to get it working just really needed a good cleaning! Cleaned the head, checked belts, pinch roller, all the fun stuff :P from what I was reading online there was also an optional wireless remote. Looks pretty good now, works great too! even came with a free VHS tape. It's nice to have a matching Zenith VCR to go with the TV now
