One technical advantage to the Danish modern is it shares the chassis with the later era metal 17" table tops. So it has a power transformer and no series string filaments. Pretty sure it therefore also has a 6v filament CRT. It's the only 21" Predicta with the (somewhat) improved 2nd series chassis.

I would suspect that that same ratio would exist even if there was double the amount of people polled. The 621 will always remain a favorite amongst TV collectors for years to come, even more so than the classic Predicta's.

The Danish Modern uses a 21EVP4 2.68 volt CRT while the 17"s use a 17DRP4 2.68 volt CRT. They seem to be much more reliable than the 1st gen 2.35 volt 21" 21EAP4 CRTs

Thank you for the update. I thought it was different, but good to know the voltage is still on the low side. Mine is actually a little weak, though the set usually plays well if I let it warm up for 10-15 mins before I get critical. Perhaps I should keep my eyes peeled if one turns up somewhere...

I dunno which set SCARES me the worst-An "Outer Limits Predicta" or that German set that has the "Sails" on it. I'd come in, loaded, & would get into a fight w/it, & then IMPALE myself on one of the "Sails". Kuba Komet, that's it. Too bad the couldn't have made a deal w/RCA & put a color set in 'em-THAT woulda been Something Else..

I have a pair of 621s, one mahogany and one blonde. I have "too many" Predictas, but no Danish Modern.

Have a beat Danish Modern and 2 mahogany 621ts' Have to say I value the 621ts much more and picked up the Danish Modern as an after thought - driving by after the owner was about to put it to the curb after he she didn't sell it at a garage sale some years back. Sitting in the basement waiting for my "someday I'll have time" moment.
