Dial mech reminds me of Grunow Teledial sets.

I was thinking the same thing, although I couldn't think of the manufacturer's name at the time. The preset tuning adjustments rang a bell in my head, though; I knew I had seen this type of radio before. There was only one manufacturer (that I am aware of, anyway) that used this kind of preset tuning setup, but for some reason Wards Airline came to mind. Could this radio have been built for Montgomery Wards by Grunow, and sold under the M-W name? I think it must have been.
