Went down to the dungeon today. Pulled Sams 1949-1
Breaker on sec of transformer & kills the 143 source. PS is copy of Zenith with the oil cap S cap is C702 .00155 mfd 1.5 KV P# EP18X137 Its behind the HOT & a few inches away. First checks are Reset breaker. Check for @143 VDC at case of HOT " " " 24 VDC at PGRL5 of the little rectifier ( red wire ) board. For meter GRD use the CRT grounds. Burning can be a lot of things. You have to go step by step to narrow things down. Usually the FBT or vert module on these & do it without spending $$$ Zeno |

Most sets it comes back a bit. It it was tripped you'll feel/hear a click when you reset it, if it wasn't tripped you'll feel some spring pressure and maybe scraping.
