RCA Pencil Boxes
Dunno what models they fit, or even if they are for Color....
Any ideas? Saw them over on ARF.

Seems that when you think you have seen it all, something new comes along. Sounds neat..

I've seen them used for long slender tubes such as the 6CA7 and for long cylinder multi caps in aluminum casings.

Um, pencil boxes are a description for control covers - most RCA sets in the 50s used them - I'm just curious what models these are for - look to be for blonde sets.
These aren't pencil boxes of the stationery supply kind....these are TV appearance parts....

Way back when I was in grade school we had a cigar like cardboard box that was commonly referred to as a school box, but I don't recall ever hearing the TV reference until I stumbled onto the internet back around 95 or so. From reading the first responses to this thread I'm not alone. It's stuff like this makes me feel older than dirt.
