I've had a Tram 1410 up for 15-20 years. Good quality. They make the 1411 with the vertical whip and lower freq xmit range. Transmit bands 26MHz/27MHz/46MHz/49MHz/72MHz/144MHz/220MHz/440MHz/900MHz/1,290MHz

Tram built super high end CB's & were in Winnisquam N.H.
Right beside lake Winnipesaukee, not where you would expect an electronics mfr ! I would guess a tiny building lot is 500-1,000 K now. Anyhows they had a relationship with Diamond of Japan who built there small CB's. Big bases were still US made. I bet the Tram antennas are built by Diamond now. Nice to see an old name pop up again. 73 Zeno LFOD ! |

Diamond...
Thanks for the helpful replies. After reading reviews of the Tram I went with a Diamond instead. Plus I'll get the correct coax with the correct connectors for the first time...

Bring on the sunspots!
I'm all set! Yes, the scanner is a bit of an over-kill I wish I still had my PRO-2006. Antenna is a Diamond D130NJ with 50 feet of LMA 400 coax cable. Scanner is a Uniden SDS200...
