Here's some just taken photos of this prop monitor.

As you can see in the cross hatch, it's pretty clear why they decided against using it as what a PVM should be used for.. Just judging by what I seen of this monitor in use in the X-Files show, it's ALWAYS had this geometry problem.

Also, ignore the banding effect in the pictures, my iPhones shutter speed doesn't match well to this screen..

At least the color accuracy is there, and it's 65k calibrated from the factory, and when I tested it, it was STILL accurate via one of those calibration spider things.

Why doesn't the picture fill the screen?

Since apple released mountain lion they forgot to give the overscan option on tv out. So I cant fix it. On tv sources it's fine.

I see, I don't know anything about this monitor but it seems like a like of Pro gear would have Pincushion and Geometry adjustments somewhere?

It really doesn't. I've checked so many times. It's a poor design I think. I'll need to see if I can get internal pictures because on the outside the only picture geometry adjustment is horizontal position.

It feels so bad tearing apart one of these monitor props for the sake of internet forums.
