Seeking advice to purchase old camcorder

Hi all,

I have old Sony V8 tapes, PAL system, captured with Sony Video 8 Handycam, model CCD-F380E. The Sony Camcorder has ceased to work. I expect to digitise the old V8 tapes.

I already possess the technique and have experience converting analogue to digital on Computer, Windows PC and Linux PC, but without the device, a tape player.

On Internet searching I found following old camcorder on eBay;
