Sencore Dvm37 meter Power Supply

Hi Members.just wondering what voltage/ current does a sencore dvm37 require?I have had this meter for many years and want to get off battery. Case jack says AC input.batterys add up to 4.5 volts dc but could this meter run ok on 5 volt dc? I have lots of computer/ laptop power supply I could use if its ok. Any link for a free service and or owners manual? Thanks for any help. RonL
