I once saw a YouTube video made from an industrial accident investigation about a fatal electrical flash-over where a voltage too high was measured with a meter. The guy was trouble shooting a large motor controller, his meter was rated to 600 V, most of the controllers in the room had 440 V on them but the one he wanted to check was, unknown to him, 10,000 V. Someone saw him running out of the room after the flash-over, the only piece of clothes unburnt on him was his belt!

Thank goodness that couldn't have happened to me--I wasn't wearing a belt.

Of course we don't deal with high power. Your posts just reminded me of the story. It was only 2300 V, not 10KV. Finally found a video about it. This isn't the version I saw a couple of years ago. Gruesome descriptions, no views of the guy, just the equipment.

Hey, Winky. I think that I have a NOS focus coil for that set. Will be at the storage area on Monday to verify. Charles

Hey, Winky. I have a NOS focus coil, a Stancor FC12, that should work fine in your Motorola. Price is $32, ppd. Resistance is 370 ohms. Please contact me if this will help. Broadcaster
