Can anyone help me I dentify the cabinet name and year of this radio? Model 89 code 123.

It dates to around 1933-35 era, but I have no idea what kind of cabinet that is. It looks similar in design to some of the Pooley cabinets Atwater Kent used, but I'd guess if therre's no tag on it that it's just some no-name maker that supplied the factory.

Model 89F - 6 tubes - 2 bands - 1937 (37-89F)
My Model 90 Highboy is 9 tubes - 1 band - 1931 Philco didn't follow any oder in the early model numbers, the model 99 is from 1930. Later models used the year as a prefix 38-xxx, made it real easy to ID. 89L - 1935 A plain 89 is not listed in Stein's - Pre-War Consoles Last edited by dewickt; 12-04-2004 at 10:54 PM. |
