If my test equipment has a grounding plug, I always use a 3 to 2 prong adaptor to float the scope. The same thing with my newer TV analyst.
We're only dealing with 120 volts here. If I get between line potential and the equipment, the GFCI will trip.
I'm more concerned about damaging the item I'm working on, than a little tickle.
