3 sets unknown
1 set I curb-picked, and put right back out on the curb after I brought it home... a 27" color from the early-90s

2 sets that were thrift store finds I put out on the curb as soon as I got them home... they were knob-tuned color sets from the mid-80s, one 13", one 9"

And how long does it take.......?
Do you make a new list each time trying not to forget any....?
Or start a fresh list not looking at the old one for at least 3 months...?
You might need more stuff to do.....
I know I have had much less than that, but it would take me an entire day to do it
with any kind of accuracy..... And I wouldn't be able to count the ones I
picked up as a kid and resold or took apart....
Be cool if you also added the years you had them, or if you still have them...

I've been doing that since 2012, about 3 times a year. I never keep an old list, I always start over. After doing it a few times it gets easier. It doesn't take me long anymore. Sometimes I do it with radios too. The ones with the * after them are ones I have now.

Recently I made a list of every set I got rid of since starting to collect them, but did not separate the makes. That's easy enough to fix, and it's easy enough to remember those from earlier years. The only post-70s set I have and intend to keep is the Electrohome.

Pre-collecting, all gone:

Admiral tubed B&W, year unknown
1989 Magnasonic 19"
Unknown make B&W briefcase set with necked CRT (trash pick)
Three unknown 19" or 20" sets rescued from repair shop trash, one fixed and sold, the others dumped when I couldn't find the problem easily.
B&W table set, probably early 50s vintage, given to me by superintendent at my grandmother's building. Set worked poorly and was quickly dumped.
19" or 20" set, make unknown, intended to replace broken down Magnasonic. This set was also defective.
2005 Sanyo 20" flat CRT set, curbed when I started with older sets.

Past:

1971 Admiral 25" console with K20 hybrid chassis (basketcase, junked, every part discarded)
1984 Candle (Hitachi/Tatung hybrid) 19"
1987 (?) Candle (Daewoo) 13"
1988 Magnavox "Perfect View" 9" portable
1989 GE (RCA) 20"
1976 Hitachi 25" console (reluctantly scrapped due to poor condition and lack of availability of service information, still have most chassis parts)
1986 Hitachi 26" console
1984 Panasonic 25" console
1989 Panasonic 26" console (received with massive scratch on CRT)
1977 RCA 12" B&W
1982 RCA ColorTrak 19"
1983 RCA ColorTrak 9"
Early-80s RCA XL-100 console with pull-on/volume knob and RAT keypad
1987 RCA XL-100 20" w/buttons above CRT
1986 Sears (GoldStar) 13"
1989 Sears (RCA) 26"
Late 80s/early 90s Sears (RCA) 26" console
1991 Sears (RCA) 26" remote console
1991 Sears (GoldStar) 13" with OSD and fine-click knob tuning
1970 Sony TV-950 (B&W portable)
1986 Sony Trinitron KV-1967
1987 Sony Trinitron KV-1926R
1983 Toshiba Blackstripe 13"
197? Zenith 12" B&W hybrid (Taiwan made)
1988 Zenith 25" console (Mexican chassis)

Present:

1973 Zenith Chromacolor 25" console w/Space Command 500, 25DC56
1976 Electrohome 25" console, C31
1977 Sony Trinitron KV-1921
1978 RCA XL-100 19", CTC88A
1979 Sylvania Superset 25" remote console w/single knob varactor tuning, E48-2
1987 Electrohome (Mitsubishi) 19"

Parts sets (current):

1985 "Concerto" 19"

I think I have enough good sets now to avoid taking in crappy sets out of desperation.

Okay, here goes. I rounded off some screen sizes, so some of the 15's might have been 17's, etc. I know there have been some BPC sets pass through my hands that I've forgotten, among others.

One day, I will be energetic enough to try making such a list.

Part of my challenge is that I have had lots of split monitor/tuner combinations, so I would need to either match them up into pairs to make "TV sets", or just make separate lists.

I'd like to make a list of the ones, I'm sorry, I sold or got rid of.

Good stuff, or do I list all?

inconsequential sets:
60s Setchell Carlson Classroom TV with locking controls trap door - I have the key, in process of replacing can caps.
1964/5 CTC16, works when it isn't eating focus coils
1969 GE Portacolor, needs new electros
1947 RCA 730-TS, restored
1985 Sony 20" TV/Monitor, daily watcher
Philco Safari with broken hood, works!
7" Teletone with unknown condition CRT/crappy cabinet and chassis
1950/51 16" Zenith Porthole combo with bad 16LP4 CRT and unknown chassis/not really mine, but storing for my brother

Sets I've let go of:

1980's Sylvania 25" Console Superset
1980's 27" Sony remote set
1970 Quasar WITD Console, worked perfectly, junked for room/parts
1950s GE 21" two-piece BW set, my first TV/Dad recapped, sold to some young guys at a yard sale for $15 in 1977
1980's 13" Commodore Color Monitor with bodged Olympus NTSC tuner add-on
1980s Zenith System 3 remote Console with broken caster - gouged the floor, gotta go...
1990s 27" Panasonic 16:9 HD Flat CRT set, gave to a friend
1974 CTC4_? Danish Modern RCA XL100, sold to a friend...in 1982

and finally, the REALLY good stuff:

'59 Muntz 19" B/W with 1 IF stage MIA, might be a factory design.
'08 Orion 32" Color, needs a new EEPROM, maybe a regulator MOSFET
'07 Insignia 20" Color, shuts down, low hour CRT
'82 TG&Y 12" B/W, no back, no knobs, scratched CRT
'84 or '85 AOC 15" Color, has intermittent blue cathode short and all new Chinese caps
CTC11 cabinet for my next Marine aquarium - anybody got any USMC Action Figures they want to donate?

I went through so many sets when I was in college through my TV business that I've lost count. Right now I've got around 20 or so, mostly roundie color sets, a number of which are combo (aircraft carrier) units.

I can't even remember all the sets I've had this year, let alone "ever"!
